Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

This was just $400 on Amazon 6 months ago. The fact that ram prices have increased does not change the fact that this device is barely worth $400.

Even the Z1E was $650 on BF. Don't fall for the trap. Let these sit on the shelves.

Maybe pick up a retro handheld and emulate the classic systems and stream your PC games on it.

I'm not seeing the extra $20 off in the Woot app. Is there a code or coupon that I'm missing?

Don't buy this for over $600 after tax. It's the middle of the line Z2 Go chip with 16GB RAM, making it slower than any Z1E, and definitely Z2E handhelds. You will get lower prices on similar handhelds at Best Buy via their refurbs and open box deals. I'd personally rather have an ROG Ally Z1E, which will do better at the high end, but perform similarly at low TDPs. Steam Deck OLED does better than both at low TDPs. It's really hard to beat that thing's power efficiency.

I agree with others and would avoid this model at this price. This variant is around the performance of a Steamdeck, and I'd rather hold out for the slim chance of a refurb restock someday than invest in one of the lowest performing Windows handhelds

Have you looked at prices on a Z1E lately?

I bought one of those ROG Ally's with the Z1E. Ate a Samsung Micro SD card in the middle of loading a game. Bought a Z1E Legion go and have not had a single issue. There is a reason why so many of the Ally Z1E's were returned.

I bought a Z1E Ally in September last year, and sure enough, the SD card reader died after 2 months. I had already expected that since it's effectively guaranteed to die, and I installed a used 2TB NVMe I bought off eBay for $105. That ended up being extremely fortunate timing.

The SD card issue is very well known, and the solution is to simply not use it. I kept no card in mine and decided to test it a few months later, and sure enough, it no longer reads cards, lol. Zero issues besides that.
