This Microsoft 365 deal stands out for the app checkout discount and the bundled cloud storage, especially the 1TB per user and up to 6TB on Family. The discount often appears only late in checkout, sometimes on the Place Order screen or in Amazon Pay, and the app seems required. The subscription can be used to extend an existing plan, and stacking multiple years is possible, though some stacking and upgrade paths have started throwing errors or changing behavior. The main draw is the storage and Office access, with the caveat that the best price may take some digging to surface.

Common Questions (5)

  • The discount appears in the app checkout flow, not in the cart. Go all the way to the final checkout screen or the green Place Order page, and the discount should show there; some buyers only saw it after logging into Amazon Pay.

  • Yes, the codes can be stacked, but several comments suggest staying at or under about 4 years before adding another upgrade or moving the plan. One report says adding 3 copies only gave a smaller discount, while 2 copies gave the full discount, so multiple orders may be needed for longer stacking.

  • Yes. The Family plan covers up to 6 accounts with 1TB of OneDrive storage each, for up to 6TB total. That storage is the main value for people who want Microsoft 365 across multiple devices or family members.

  • Yes, the listing notes that it can extend an existing Microsoft 365 subscription. It is commonly used to tack on extra time and avoid higher auto-renewal pricing.

  • No. The discount has been reported without Prime, and one checkout showed the Prime discount line only after logging into Amazon Pay, while another buyer got the deal for $81 plus tax without Prime.

You could start a new account. Just buy 1 or 2 Personal. Add the premium Family (discounted) for $99. Then contact Microsoft to "move" 2 years left over to new account. Key is you can't go over 5 years - not by 1 day.

I said this in the other thread. $90 is the new $40 today it's $80 is the new $40. The family 365 hasn't been the $35 deal from well before the pandemic. $50-60 has been the trend and that was pre copilot.
This is the answer. Use it or not, they have added "ai" features and copilot. I don't think you'll ever get back to the old prices.

Is it useful? not too bad: for example, it looked through my simple spreadsheet and told me automatically where I have too many spaces, spelling inconsistencies, etc. I like it.

Is Ai copilot advanced important to you?? May be worth it to buy 1 year personal, add family premium for $99 (discounted from $199). Or $80 via paypal deal. Then get Microsoft to move existing family plan over to new account (premium family). That gives you 4 1/2 plus years. You would be out $53 plus $80 for the upgrade.

Don't forget the trick!!! You all are doing it wrong!!

Step 1: Buy 3-4 PERSONAL 365 Microsoft 1 year plans. Add to account ( Microsoft365.com/setup). Be sure your account isn't linked to a best buy or amazon or other 3rd party. Do not go over 4 years. I got my for $50 each.

Step 2: Then an offer from Microsoft for Premium family (advanced ai) will generate for $99 a year (instead of $199) on subscription page. Before you add, paypal has an offer for 20% off at Microsoft - add offer.

Step 3:
Use Microsoft link on subscription page to upgrade to Premium family for $99 and pay using paypal.

*** Congratulations - Your PERSONAL plan is now PREMIUM FAMILY for a heavy discount for next 5 years.

All in it will cost $50/$50/$50/$50/$80. $280 for 5 year. That is $56 a year for Premium family. My renewal billing says $199 a year starting May 1, 2031.
Does Step 2 always show up? is it always the same offer?

When is your expiration? You can always stack $80 until 4 years then add the Family premium deal for $99 ($100 off) or $80 via PayPal to convert your family to a premium family.
