The tabless batteries are on sale for $119 each. So say $240 for the batteries and $140 for the circ saw kit. This is a really good cordless circ saw and that's a really good price for the kit (the bare tool doesn't get much lower). MHPT multivolt batteries also work in the 18V tools. That all makes this a really great deal, if you want to buy 24ah of battery (most of it tabless) in one shot.

I own this saw, and I can attest that it's an absolute beast. It's also got the blade on the right side so the sawdust will kick away from you if you're right handed, or if your left handed and prefer to see the blade location then this is great for that, too. I've also got one of the little 6 1/2 inch Metabo HPT Circ Saws that was my #1 until I got this one.
