Maui Jim also went down in quality after being bought out. New ownership also deleted all the older reviews prior to acquisition from their site.

What's a good alternative then? I love my Maui Jim's but I think you're right. They seem to scratch very easily now.

I believe Serengeti are still very good lens wise. Although they are going through another acquisition currently so who knows how that will impact future quality.
