LG's C-series OLEDs stand out here for strong picture quality and especially the 65 inch C5 price, which is described as a crazy good OLED deal. The 77 inch C6H gets attention for using the Tandem panel from last year's G5, while the C5 is framed as the better value because the newer model's picture differences may be hard to notice. Pricing appears to move around, and the posted C6H price has been called inflated or not the actual offer. Access to the LG Partner Store may require a Hulu trial, and the wall mounting offer is service only, not a mount.

I'm new to OLED TVs, so I'm torn between getting a 65-inch B5 for 809 or a C5 for 1080. Can someone share their opinion?

Crazy good price on the 65". Pretty much anything lower than this price point is a YMMV in store clearance for a C series OLED that size.

I'm still loving my C2 and anyone kicking around the idea of snagging an OLED should jump all over that 65" price.

I haven't compared them side by side but here is AI giving an opinion on it. I have a C series and it's fantastic. I'm sure the B series is fine, too. But I've had my C2 for over four years now and it still looks like it's cutting edge and brand new.

"At a $500+ difference, I'd say the B5 is the smarter value buy.
At $270? The C5 starts making a lot more sense because:
  • you keep TVs a long time
  • OLED brightness matters every single day
  • the processor upgrade affects everything you watch
  • resale value will likely hold better
  • if you already own premium displays you are likely to notice the difference
The biggest thing is this:
The B5 will impress you because it's OLED.
The C5 will still impress you after the honeymoon period because the HDR and brightness headroom are materially better. That's usually what separates "great value OLED" from "premium OLED."
Tom's Guide measured the C5 at nearly double the HDR brightness of the B5 in some testing scenarios, plus better glare handling and processing.
One additional angle:
The C4/C5 class TVs historically become the "safe recommendation" models that hold value and stay relevant longer. The B-series tends to age into "budget OLED" territory faster.
So if:
  • the extra $270 does not materially bother your budget
  • you plan to keep it 4–7 years
  • you care about HDR/gaming/image quality
…I'd go C5 without much hesitation. "

Below 2K is my price point on the 77"
My guess is that we're about 3 months away from that happening.

Logged into the Government LG Partners Store, I see a price of $1,259.99 - 10% = 1,133.99 (for the 65" C5 model as mentioned in the post). Anyone getting close to the suggested $1,080?

It went back up $50. Their pricing is pretty dynamic. Moves around a lot.
