I always thought these were way more expensive than they actually are. I have a pretty cool work desk that I built from scratch, but seeing these motorized adjustable height desks as cheap as they are is really tempting me.

Same here as that's why I'm also considering this one. Anyone have this one care to comment on it? I most interested to know if the top is all in one piece ...
This is priced right for a single motor, but a dual motor would be preferred, even at this width, and can be had for about $20-30 more when discounted.
The weight of multi-monitors and desktop accessories (speakers, keyboards, etc) adds up, but if you're using this just for writing or a laptop on its own, it might be capable enough.
Similar in size, but not in weight capacity. The listing supports 176lb compared to the 100lbs the model you mentioned. If the motor stuggles less, there is a good chance it will have a longer life span.
I also think 48" is a bit narrow. I see Dumos sells a 63" version[a.co] that is a great price point ($90). If you have the space, I recommend going bigger. Usable desk space really make a difference.
It is a amazing how prices have come down. I spent over $260 for a 63" adjustable desk in July 2025, brand name SMUG. It is no longer sold on Amazon, so support on these Chinese brands is going to be hit or miss (most likely miss) after the Amazon return period.
I bought another to use as a nightstand for behind an adjustable hosptial bed. It turned out to be an excellend idea.
The ones I bought had power outlets/usb harging ports on the top of the desk which is a nice to have feature. Only one cable to go up and down when adjusting the desk, less chance of stuff to get tugged off the desk. You can solve this with mounting a surge protector, but a I like a cleaner look.

Why does it matter if it is 2 pieces? I have a 2 piece, works great.
For light work these are OK. I got a couple for working on electronics. The all white ones are good for seeing tiny parts that go astray. I used a couple more for 3D printers, but when they are raised up they tend to bounce around a lot from the jerky movements of the printers. The tops are generally pretty stiff because there's a crossbar underneath the seam between the two (or three) pieces. But they are mostly particle board with plastic laminate, so the screw holes are more fragile and easier to strip out.
