Checked at my local one actually last evening to post here but wasn't there sadly. I think some specific models are on clearance if you head to the apple section. Not as great ones but still good.

I have this generation iPad (10th gen) but with the base-model amount of storage (64 GB.) At 256 GB for this Target clearance iPad 10th gen, that's a significant upgrade in storage. It can still run most modern games and the camera is not bad for general usage, even for document uploads like replacing a scanner.
The biggest caveat is when is Apple going to EOL these and stop giving security updates, standard security updates not just the one-off critical flaw security updates that threaten every device running past the EOL date. It's usually 7 years, but we will see in 3 years.
People may not remember but the 10th gen started out at $449 and then got bumped down to $349 later on.
At $150, that's not bad for 3 years unless you're trying to play a really demanding iPadOS game.

I personally wouldn't buy it, but it's priced accordingly. It's halfway through the Apple lifecycle. It's fine for the majority of usage but as someone who values longevity, I'd rather go with the current gen if I were in the market.

Exactly. The newest mini has been as low as $350. If it hit that's price again it's a MUCH better buy, even with less storage. 5 extra years of OS support is huge.

EOL is going to be awhile for 10th gen iPad. I have an 8th gen iPad 32GB updated to 26.4.2.

Not to me. This has been on sale many times for $200 years ago. $100 would be a deal.
