Couple things on this one.. it has plenty of power, is quiet, and uses the .105" line. It cannot use the expand-it attachments and it is heavy. I had it for a season, sold it, and got the carbon fiber model that supports the expand-it attachments.

Know why they got rid of expand it? Was curious of it's a gimmick or not...

I think this is just their heavy duty model so it's not included with it. I'm a fan of the expand-it line. I use several of the different attachments (snow shovel, brush cutter, weed eater, etc). Most of the other models seem to have it.

I really need the expand it option. I use many of the different attachments as well and even need it for the edger attachment. My current one does okay with the string trimmer attachment, but the motor quickly overheats with the string trimmer attachment.
