This same set sells for $229 (as well 10 other "free" tools options).

Such a weird battery/tool pairing. I use this tool with a DCBP034 1.7Ah POWERSTACK battery, DeWalt's most compact and lightest 20V MAX battery. There's no way I would want a 9Ah FLEXVOLT throwing it off balance. If HD is trying to be funny, they should offer is with the 15Ah FLEXVOLT.

Yeah, a behemoth of a battery for such a tiny tool.

I'm assuming Dewalt is offloading these batteries for their Powerstack line, which is obviously the more sane choice for this tool.

Sell back the battery and you're basically getting the cutoff tool for free + a charger on top of that. Get it while you can. No brainer

Will they allow a return of only the battery and charger? And if so, how much do they credit back?

I got this. Battery is huge, good for the weedwacker. Though I prefer small batteries which are light and last through all my jobs. Think I'm gonna return the cutoff tool for the compact impact gun.

Not even remotely. I don't have mine in front of me, but it wouldn't surprise me if the battery weighed more than the impact. I guess if you needed to drive 1000 screws in a row without swapping batteries it would be perfect, but as far as comfortability goes, you're way better off with a 20v battery.

No one paying $250 for a 9ah.
