Avoid any LG product with a "linear compressor"

Yes they have 10 yr warranties, no they don't cover the cost for your food, and no you will not get it fixed quickly. Took me 2nweeks to get a tech out here.

Had this fridge for less than three years. Nothing but problems. Both ice makers went out twice. Then the compressor went out.

My LG died exactly after 10 and half years. Just out of the warranty of 10 years for compressor. The problem is that it uses iron tubes, which easily get rusted during high temp and high moisture working environment of the compressor. I don't know about this model but I will never buy another LG.

I have this exact model. It throws an E F1 error every other week. We have to pull it out from the wall and cycle the power by unplugging it. It's not covered under warranty according to their support. I will never buy another LG fridge again.

My Whirlpool got you beat... 4th time ice maker broke in 13 months.. Of course the 4th time was right after the warranty went out, repair company out three times, never again on whirlpool crap

Are all of them with linear compressors? Or are there other compressors that are good?

not a fix, but maybe you can use a smart plug to make your work around easier/faster

Or just reset the circuit breaker. Many newer homes have a dedicated circuit for the refrigerator.
