I would strongly look for touchless ones for around the same price from Flow motion [homedepot.com]. They are the same price and have been using it since 2019 with no issues. Wifey loves it. The batteries do last a year or so. Convenient when your hands are dirty

How does the touchless work, on batteries? How do you replace the batteries?

I have the Kohler Guild from Costco. The button failed almost from the getgo. It's been over a month, and Kohler has still not sent the replacement. I'm disappointed.

There is a battery pack that takes 4 standard AA batteries that gets mounted under the sink. You open the handle and adjust it how much you want the flow to be. Once that it set, you just wave your hand in front of it to open and wave again to close. No touching the faucets and keeps it clean and hygienic.

I have a Moen touchless model, and I would NOT recommend it. The valve is electronically controlled, and the handle only connects to a sensor that detects its open angle, not the actual valve. This means the handle does not give you fine control of water pressure or temperature. The electronically controlled value seems to only have a few distinct levels of pressure and cold-hot mix ratio. There was even a one-time sensor glitch where I had to unplug the controller to stop the water.

I had one of these, they're garbage. They can trigger without intent and stopped working a few years after we got ours. It works fine as a non-touch now but I would get a brand name that isn't a gimmick if I'm looking to spend money. You're comparing a 50% off item to normal price for the flow motion. There's a reason good plumbing isn't cheap.

Same here. Button stops working right eventually.

Wow. Really? Stunning input right there. If I bring it back to Costco, I have to pay significantly more for something new.

I bought that Flow Motion touchless back in 2018 and it was working great 4 years later when we moved. Usually replaced the batteries every 12-16 months. Might have to buy another for the new house.
