I picked Costco in the deal submission form. Don't know what good that did, because it didn't show up. Was trying to do it from my phone before I took my afternoon nap. 😀 The deal submission form from my phone is, shall we say, "lacking".
Perfect as a monitor. Just make sure to use dark theme to prevent burn-in. I'm using one and I don't have to use my reading glasses
Is that a joke or were you being serious?
The 42" is what people normally buy to use as a monitor. The pixel density of the 42" is just slightly below a 27" 1440p monitor, while the 55" would be slightly below a 27" 1080p monitor. A 27" 1080p monitor is generally considered as garbage as far as pixel density, only really suitable for people with bad eyes.
I bought the display model for $475 in East Hanover, NJ this morning. It came with the 5 year warranty too. The $949 close outs are also receiving the extended warranty. If you get the display model, make sure they ring the warranty for the original price -- not the discount. Otherwise, All State will short change you if you need to make a claim.
This is an awesome TV. The C5 is better than my 65 inch Samsung S85D OLED in my living room. But I value the bigger display in the living room, so the C5 will be my bedroom TV. Both are paired with Samsung Q-series soundbars, the C5 a Q800C and the S85D a Q990D. This C5 deal almost rivals my Q990D soundbar deal for $399 last year -- the best deal I ever found on Slickdeals.
