I'm pretty sure Amazon has some kind of dynamic pricing algorithm. I constantly see prices on clothing especially where only very specific sizes are on significant sale, and there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it from what I can see, but I'm sure it's based on sales rank, price comparisons, etc. It actually makes it quite difficult posting deals for clothing and shoes because you have to find only the few colors/sizes that are actually on sale and ignore all the regularly priced ones. 😰
