This will not have the power to dig a post for a fence but would be handy in the garden.

So a bit useless then. Especially at this price.

Hit one rock and this thing will stop even on the softest dirt. Look up some YouTube videos before you buy. Do not recommend even at half this price

This might be better in a 40 volt version but yes if your soil is dry hard moral and has rocks this will stop dead unless like others have said if you're using this in a garden the plant a lot of plants in soft soil

Using a hose and lots of water might help this along a little...but then you're using water + electricity. I'd prefer a gas engine for this. Vevor makes one that's around this price point.

I bought this once and returned it thinking I could use it for post hole digging. It's to make holes for plants.

I use the drill bit type in the garden https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DY7WKCLR Coupled with a 1/2" hammer drill, you're all set for a lot of planting.

Last year was my first year using one, and it made planting 100 tomatoes and about 60 pepper plants a heckuva lot easier. I used to dig each hole with a narrow spade shovel. I ain't getting any younger and this helped me a lot. The growing results were a little mixed because I think I drilled too deep of holes. The plants grew OK but I don't think they benefited from extra deep holes. Plus, I burned up an old Black & Decker brushed motor 3/8" 20v cordless. No great loss, I switched over to my Ryobi 1/2" hammer drill and it was much more up to the task.
