Just bought the 55 C5 a month ago during Costco clearance. Is the 55 G5 worth an additional $300? The C5 and C4 both have annoying HDMI handshake issues with my MacBook Pro. I wonder if the G5 does too.

Nah it's not worth it. Looks the same as a b series nobody can tell the difference

Best Buy had the 55 G5 Open Box for around $980 plus taxes. No longer on sale. Whats the LG warranty for new TVs? Is that worth it over taking a chance on Open Box

Depends on the condition.I got a fair condition open box G5 55" for $804.xx after tax. It also came with a $100 BB gift card. Unfortunately it was a display model (5000+ hours), but I ran some burn in tests and saw no issues. I'm going to buy BB's 5 year extended warranty which covers burn in. Luckily cashback and the $100 GC will cover most of it.
