Motherboard sales down 25% bc ai datacenters they said, how about the fact that they cost 3-5x as much as they did pre COVID plus the multiple supply disruptions ddr5 has faced, starting with its initial consumer offering shortages.

IMHO, there are many who don't want consumers having powerful computational capabilities like nvidia ceo and his sister at AMD ceo so your forced to use their data center resources build by the AI data center investment craze.

True, but this is a higher tier motherboard ... I mean, 13 x USB ports (I'd rather more than 2 USB4...)
But here are now X870E boards for $200 and X870 for $150. There was a B650E for sub $100

Zero. It was actually the easiest build I've had in a long time. Been rolling my own PCs since the 90's.
