having stated that the M1 Pro has fans and sustains its performance indefinitely.
M5 throttles after about 30 minutes when connected to external monitor streaming 1080p videos + office work.

Your second link is to X86 emulators (virtualization) for X86 Windows/Linux boxes, which has exactly the same problems as what I list above.
So, no, you can't run modern ARM MacOS on a PC. I'm not sure how you would run "newer apps" on your Lenovo.
Years ago (for laptops, integrated graphics last worked in the 2020-era 10th gen Intel models...) one could Hackintosh these machines fairly easily, but they're all completely obsolete in 2026, and a basic $500 Macbook Neo destroys them performance-wise.
Hopefully systems with their own chips will end up being supported longer but I'm not risking it without the price being lower.
This used reseller is trying to pawn off off-lease machines for far too much compared to newer options. But if you had one of these machines, you'll have a VERY hard time retaining any of the original value of the machine. For comparison, the Intel-era Macs before the M-series introduction retained a LARGE chunk of their value.
What's the play here? Buy used, locally. A bit higher risk, but if you can verify the machine is in good health and not locked, you're probably getting a better deal than anything on here.
