No it is not, every account has this offer. it's on the front page of their ad. it's specific to hair care items, including this.

And you are again wrong about in store use. You are not dinged for spend using ECB's in store, only online

I see the $10 off $40 on the front page, but couldn't add to anything. Does it automatically come off? NO $10 OFF $40 in the app.

I just bought this in store and no ECB received. The manager override the price because no $10 coupon showed up. I used some of my ECB to pay and got no ECB back.

The other guy might be correct. I think I was just dinged for spending ECB on this. Now I have to call corporate to get the $15.

that is strange. Typically the rules are indeed different for in store redemption than online.

overriding the price may have been the issue in your situation. He made the price $30.99 and this is a spend offer. Have to spend $40+ to get the $15.

He/she should have manually issued you the $15 ECB, they can do that.

if doing the deal in store and the $15 ECB doesn't print. show the cashier or the manager the ad. They can manually generate a $15 ECB from the system.

There was a deal similar to this at Black Friday and pretty sure everyone got their ECB's okay on these hair appliances.

She didn't do a direct price override. The line item on my receipt shows
1ExtraCare Plus $10Bonus
CVS COUPON (#)-10.00
so I should still be eligible for the $15 no?

you should. there may be a system glitch on this. As I noted in the other comment, next time ask them to print out the $15 ECB, show them the ad, it's much easier to handle at the store than calling the 800#. They can issue the ECB's manually.

It's YMMV, i did not see it in the app or the website. the banner shows but there is no coupon.

manager had no idea.

others in this thread could not get it to apply either.

there was a X of threshold for beauty promo 1 or 2 months ago that had the same issue.

I understand there are some issues with the deal on the CVS end of things. The deal 'as advertised' is not a YMMV deal on its face. It is supposed to be for everyone, I just want to make that clear. when there's a glitch like this, that is no fault of the customer, CVS needs to issue people their $15 ECB's as I mentioned, if doing the deal at the store, insist the manager issue it to you manually. If they give you grief, just return the item if you don't want to spend 30 minutes on the phone with CVS customer care. You get your money and ECB's back you used to pay for it.

I realize it's a hassle and certainly wasn't why I shared this deal. It is a good deal if it works as it is advertised. I'm not sure how it's working to order it online for shipping paying straight out of pocket. I am going to 'test it". I do have the $10 off $40 coupon in my account and clipped it yesterday.

Yeah, I was wondering why things like that were being posted here… then I read it as curling iron. My brain just clocked out.
