My local Lowes has the Kobalt Storage Rack parts on clearance. I am unsure if this is nationwide, or limited to my area (Russelville, AR), but it was too good to not share.

Normally. The 77"x24"x72" rack is $299 and the 84" is $339, but if you buy 2 of the uprights (A) @ $11.97ea, 4 of the Beam and Tie supports (B) @ $17.97ea, and 4 of the Wire Shelves (C) @ $9.97ea, you have all the parts for a full 77" rack for only 135.70.

Alternatively, you can purchase the 84" Beam and Tie supports and Wire Shelves for an 84" length unit for the same price. They had stickers for the 84" uprights at $13.97 each, but were sold out before I arrived.

If you're in my area, I purchased all 3 of the remaining uprights and the remaining 84" shelving pieces. There are still some 77" pieces, but not enough to make a rack unless you have the uprights already.

I can't stop laughing at how crazy this post is. You have to buy all these parts which have no links and build this thing from the ground up.

Perhaps the OP used a bit more brevity than was needed.

Such shelving is built up out of basically three parts:

- Ends
- Long bars to form shelves
- Some sort of covering (could be wire, could be particle board) for the shelves being "made"

You learn this when you buy that same 4 shelf Kobalt kit Lowes has for $299 for $199 at Costco ... or almost that price with 11pc rebate at Menards.

While Menards sells the "pieces parts" (allowing you to add, say an extra shelf, or to add a second set without one of the end pieces), Lowes doesn't on their website.

Definitely will be YMMV. My local store doesnt have this set for much of a discount, but I bought enough of the Project Source equivalent pieces to make a 5-shelf (48in wide) 84in tall rack plus a 3-shelf 36in tall rack plus a single metal shelf plate to use as an extra for about $100.
