Suggest you buy both sizes. The smaller one is easier to carry, but can get rather loud. The larger one is quieter (at low speeds) so won't annoy others as much.

If you can only afford one, get the larger one.

Lol it's a $6 fan and it's from Walmart where you can return anything if it sucks. It's just legitimately the best design for a handheld fan that I've ever seen and I've had at least a dozen different ones over the years.I'm just a fat guy that lives in a hot, humid area that gets excited about a good fan after so many decent at best ones.
