Just got one of these from Best Buy, it's very good. Very fast for dev work. The Dell Assistant os restore background task may blue screen Win 11, there are workarounds until patched by Dell.

It would be hard to find someone that didn't classify this as a powerhouse. It will be good for most people for YEARS with and Ultra 9 and 32gb RAM. a 2.5k screen is super nice. You get better resolution but not the power hungry 4k version. 300 nit is a bit of a bummer, but I would be okay with it to save ~$1,200 over the XPS version.
I think Dells are okay for what they are. I got the XPS 13 when i had to replace my MacBook Air w/ windows (for business purposes), I'm not happy with Windows overall, it seems like their battery management is more of thought than an action; but the build and features of the Dell seem solid.

Is the price point good? It seems nice configuration except the OS which is Home Edition.

I noticed on Dell site, when you choose this model, they change the OS to home version and when you choose pro version of Windows OS, they change it to ultra 7 from Ulta 9. Does anyone know why would they be doing this? Is it not yet fully tested on Windows 11 pro?

Is this keyboard comparable to the ones they put on the Latitude or Precision laptops? I'm spoiled by the ThinkPad keyboards. Looking for something close to that experience.

Exactly. A true professional never leave the cubicle. Daylight readability is pure kid stuff.

Actually it is an issue for professionals who travel. But for those with it sitting on a dock, it's not a problem.

Getting downvoted but if the screen is important for your work this would be unacceptable and a dealbreaker. My s21 had 1,500nits already back in 2021. Its mid 2026 and to have anything less than 1,000nits is ridiculous. Also this is not pantherlake so the GPU will be severely lacking vs any AMD/pantherlake laptops. Also this thing is a bricks and weighs like one with the power adapter. At best this should be around $700 to be decent.
