I did pay the same $19.99 so I'm not sure how slick this deal is, but I do feel it's well worth it.

This is a compact 5 port travel adapter that stands out for saving space and holding up well in home and travel use. The small form factor makes it easier to pack than bulky all in one adapters, and the build quality feels solid enough for repeated trips and a few drops. The 20W USB output is handy for phones, GPS units, and slow overnight charging, but it is underpowered for charging five devices at once or for heavier travel needs. It also does not convert voltage or provide grounding, so heat appliances and some grounded devices need a different solution.
Common Questions (5)
Its 20W USB output is enough for light travel charging, but it is underpowered if you want one adapter to fast-charge five devices at the same time. It works best for a phone, GPS, or slow-charging accessories, while a higher-wattage charger is better for heavier multi-device use.
Yes, it is notably compact and saves a lot of space compared with bulkier travel adapters. It has also held up well over months of home and travel use, including surviving a few drops.
Yes, the AC outlet can be used with a separate charger, including a 140W Anker charger, without issue. That makes it useful as a plug adapter while leaving USB charging to a more powerful brick.
No, it does not convert voltage. Devices that generate heat, such as hair dryers, curling irons, clothing irons, and space heaters, should not be plugged into it unless their voltage matches the outlet; check the AC voltage range on the adapter and use a step-down converter when needed.
It lacks a ground pin, so grounded devices may not fit or function properly in some countries. That can limit use with items like certain laptop or desktop power supplies and other grounded appliances, especially in places such as Japan.

You can get a 100w travel adapter (up to 4 usb) for around $50 on sale, and the one I'm thinking of has the ground pin on the front AC port (+ one without ground pin on the side)
I realize $50 is over twice the price of $20, but I just don't see how a 20w adapter with this many ports is a "travel" adapter… unless you're charging one PD phone or tablet at a time, then reserving the other USB ports for miscellaneous USB rechargeable accessories.
The Anker name is nice, number of ports is nice.. but it's pretty underpowered. Can't justify it.

The fact that it has USB charge ports on it is just fluff, and if its not enough power then use it how its intended and simply plug a high powered multiport charger into it.
The problem with the all-in-ones — the massive outlet adapters that have a power brick built in, is they're heavy and donmt pack great, vs. eg this guy and a seperate smaller power brick.
The 20w is nice since you can pull it out quick and charge your phone or gps at an airport or gas station, without having to pull out the power brick too.
I use the 65w Anker power brick with this guy, and it's the best setup I've found in 2026.
So this steps down the 220v power to 5-9v for usb cords?
But it doesn't step down the 3 prong plug so you cannot use this with a 110v device.
