BH is $80 in cart with the coupon. I picked up a couple myself. This was a decent price before recent pricing boom on memory and storage. Really good price now after the fact. I picked up a couple since there are rumors lexar is raising base prices even more soon. And pricing relief may be a ways out still.

LOL, thanks so much for this post. Read the B&H page totally wrong how the coupon worked. Fixed the OP. Thank you again.

Price inflation is more fictional/slimy/opportunistic in the slow memory card space, because A.I. data centers aren't remotely interested in this product tier and form factor. It's up to us to throw up the middle finger to this B.S. And I bought this same card for less on a prior B&H sale less than a year ago when the rich dicks couldn't scavenge for the opportunity to pretend there's a crisis.

I agree it is slimy and opportunistic, but could it be that they are putting more of the manufacturing resources toward the faster memory and not producing as many of these cards? I recently bought a dji action 4 and I am having trouble getting a card for it. Amazon delaying shipping and doubling the price in a weeks time, and can't find any at retail stores but I'm in Hawaii and don't know if this is a problem on the mainland.

Some manufacturers are straight up discontinuing their consumer SD card products. So it seems like there's just more money to be made elsewhere with commercial / data center type stuff. These manufacturers that are still producing consumer products instead of abandoning are simply raising the price on the consumer stuff to make it worthwhile instead of leaning 100% into data center products.

That said I agree this isn't the best deal of all time, but at least you're basically paying a normal price instead of inflated. I would personally go for it if you have near term needs and can't just wait this out. I have mostly full size SD cards but recently picked up a camera that takes micro and needed some more cards, so I decided to go for it since I couldn't really just wait another 1-2 years to see how the market settles out.

Depends on if you need the speed or not. The Lexar Silver Plus is faster and priced as such.
