Applebee's all you can eat for $15.99 is mainly about cheap sit down variety, with riblets standing out as the strongest item and boneless wings still getting praise when paired with dipping sauce. The wings and fried items can be satisfying, but the chicken quality on boneless wings gets called out as poor, and the meal can feel heavy enough to cause regret the next day. The offer also runs slower than expected, with small follow up plates and long waits between rounds. It works best if you want a lot of food and do not mind a processed chain meal.

  • Wing-and-riblet fans who like saucy bar food, because the riblets are described as terrific and the boneless wings still work well with dipping sauce.

  • Hungry diners who want a sit-down meal with lots of food, because the all-you-can-eat format can be a decent value when you just want to stuff your face.

  • People who want quick refills on fried items, because sitting near the kitchen can get wings and fries served directly from the fryer.

  • Chicken-focused diners who expect good quality, because the chicken can be seriously bad and taste like processed bites.

  • People who want a light meal, because the portions and refill pace can leave you too full to keep eating more.

  • People who rely on boneless wings as the main draw, because they can be oversized nuggets and may taste low quality.

  • Steak diners who expect proper doneness, because the steak can arrive way too rare.

Depends on your appetite.
Small, more frequent meals.... Never works for me.

Good luck to the world, though! Sounds fun. Stick Out Tongue

Pretty sure wholesale shrimp is less than $5 per pound, so you'll need to eat more than 3lbs of shrimp to get your money's worth lol

For the variety here, I'd say this is better than an overpriced McD combo meal
This meal doesnt come with a drink which pushes it closer to $18-20 before tax and tip which comes out to $25. You could also go to McDonalds get a large chicken sandwich/quarter pounder, large fries, large drink for $8-9 with the app (coupon is there 20% off every day). If you want to sit down and be served microwaved food instead of getting take out at McDonalds I guess this is a decent deal but you are paying $15 more for that pleasure and the food most likely tastes worse than the highest priced items on McDonalds menu. If you arent fat and eating tons of food, this is objectively a terrible deal at $25 a person.

It's funny that you think obesity doesn't exist.

3 pounds? I'll pack away 8 pounds that way I've made a good profit.

Applebee's is just microwave food. They don't cook anything there. Everything is frozen And precooked and just warmed in a microwave. Their steaks have char marks pressed into them and then warmed.
Don't think that's true at all, because my steak when I ate there wasn't cooked right at all. It was way too rare.

It would be nice to know which stores were participating before getting there.

A bowl of pho or ramen starts at $16 in NJ.
An entree at a bar starts at $16.
Local AYCE sushi lunch special is $18 on a weekday.
Not sure where everyone else is from, but I don't think this is a bad deal if you just want to stuff your face.
Can someone please explain why this is a bad deal?
because those food are cheap there considering how expensive living there. of course its cheap for you to have a bowl of pho there at $16 with a $75k salary..compared to other states where people make $45k and pay $17 a pho.

I worked at Applebees for a hot second in 2009. They did cook their food on a flattop (the burgers and steaks were fresh and not frozen. You literally had to repeat this line to every single guest along with the appetizers...ugh). Same with the chicken which they would serve with their fiesta lime chicken. They may have Sysco-ified since then, but I dont think its any worse (or any better) than the other american bars and grills.

Also, not sure if any of you have noticed...every single food deal...every single one...gets more criticism than thumbs up on SD...its just the nature of all ubiquitous things (like phones). Either not healthy, not cheap, or not good tasting, and if it avoids all of those things...its probably not available, then.

thats not my point. you compared a fastfood combo with soda drink included and no tips with this basic price without anything add on. this deal does not beat any fastfood without a drink & tips involved.
