NAC has some legitimate uses. As one example it can prevent Tylenol overdoses even up to 8 hours after taking the Tylenol. FDA approved for this use case. It's not just some trendy herbal supplement that may or may not do anything beneficial.

I'm sure all the high levels of cadmium and other Chinese heavy metals don't matter since it will also "cleanse" those.

A few important nuances:
• "Liver detox" is mostly marketing language. Your liver already detoxifies your body naturally.
• NAC itself does have real medical/scientific use cases:
• acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdose treatment,
• mucus/lung support,
• antioxidant support,
• possible liver support in some settings.
• The evidence for generic "detox cleanses" is much weaker than the evidence for NAC itself.

You should at least do your body a favor by buying some legit brands . There is a plenty of options out there and you don't want to ingest some random stuff to save few bucks , which will ideally lead you to spend more later .

just eat a balanced diet that includes berries, leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, garlic, and fatty fish to boost liver health. Unless you have pre existing liver issues, in which case you need a prescription med anyways. These no name supplements do nothing than drain your wallet.
