At least its 1700R unlike the 800R of LGs ultrawides which definitely has some taco like qualities

I have a 1000R curved monitor and I actually prefer it now to regular flat monitors. This monitor is a much less aggressive 1700R, so it's not even that noticeable.

I thought I'd hate curved monitors at first, but after a few years living with a 32" 1600R (only slightly more curved than this) I actually consider it a positive. If you think about it the right curve vs size/distance means more of the screen is exactly the same distance from your pupils, rather than the edges being further away and requiring a little more refocusing as you look from one side to the other. Even for Excel/documents this gentle of a curve isn't bad, the straight lines still feel straight unless you get too far off center in your seating position.

I've been using curved for years now. Tried a flat 32" and felt a weird warped vision effect. I moved on to us this exact unit and was back to comfortable viewing. To each their own for sure but I don't think I can ever go back to flat now.

For bigger monitors, I would say curved is better.

I'm a fan of Newegg, but when it comes to monitors they have one of the worst return policies. If you can't live with dead pixels, I'd look elsewhere.

Man so close! Was about to hit purchase before I realized it's a Samsung panel. Had three Samsung panels fail before moving to an LG OLED and can't go back now. Such a nightmare dealing with Samsung

I mean it does say QD-OLED, that means Samsung panel. If it's WOLED then that's LG's tech. FYI, you wouldn't be dealing with Samsung, you'd be dealing with MSI if you had panel issues.

And for anyone else caring, this is a gen3 QD-OLED panel

Slightly curved is fine. I like my Dell 32 inch 2K gaming monitor
