I have the 20 lbs and 35 lbs sets. The quality is fine except for the rubber smell that would take a while to go away.

I ordered these a couple days ago - arrived quickly and seem to be perfectly good quality.

$0.88 per pound is cheaper than Facebook marketplace used! If you need these, this deal is fantastic.

same. I open up the boxes, wipe down the weights, and leave them outside for a few days to air out.

I bought theese balenceform dumbells but 50lb 6 months ago. I left them in large sunny greenhouse for 2 months and also washed them with dishsoap twice, they're still offgassing enough I smell them strongly whenever I try to use them.

You probably have them in a warmer than usual temp + humid area. That's what happened to me when I did all that and brought em back inside.

Lol but at least in the winter when it's dry air and 55F in the basement it doesn't smell..

Not the right environment for offgassing. The smell will dissipate in sunny and dry conditions with good ventilation.

......24,000 cubic feet of air with 15-20 air exchange per hour for two months isn't enough air flow?

70 degrees and 35% humidity.

To be fair I can't smell them until they're within about 3 feet of my nose and it's only unbearable if within about a foot. Still means I can't use them for alot of exercies yet

Was referring more to the general humidity of a greenhouse in the 50-70% range. Not sure what you're trying to grow at 35% humidity, but that's much lower than what most plants will thrive in. A typical greenhouse setup isn't going to be optimal for offgassing rubber.

Where are you getting 35% humidity greenhouse scenario from and why do you feel the need to teach about things without reviewing data first? 6 months - 2 months means there are 4 months the dumbbells have not been in the greenhouse...

The humidity range of a greenhouse will have an effect on off-gassing but is unlikely to have a statistically significant effect. Especially if you're comparing it to off-gassing outside. The airflow is less than outside, and yes, outside would be more optimal, but the rate increase of offgassing wouldn't be so much that two months in a high air changeover warm sunny place should be considered so insufficient it's not worth noting... it's a pretty damn solid indicator that these require a much higher than average amount of offgassing time & effort.

If you want to school me on something, you should have called out the surface area to volume ratio of the 50lb ones being worse than these 30lb ones and requiring longer off-gassing. but even then they have a lot of VOC to offgas.
