Sit-inside kayaks are a little lighter than sit-on-tops however they are more hassle to clean as water and debris can collect inside the cabin. I have both styles and for the sit-on-top I just run the hose for a quick rinse but more hassle with the sit-inside. The on-tops are also easier to hop off and back on while out on the water.

Those are good pros/cons to mention between the two. I like sit in for going down a river, and for keeping a little more dry when the water is cold. With sit on the one think I don't like with the cheap one I have is that it has a seam, and that can leak. One piece is the better design for sit ons.

I gree that you listed great pros and cons.
However, I would add that with sit ons you are baking in the sun the entire time, which can make a difference for some people. They are also harder to maneuver.
