I had a mishap with an old dryer that caught fire in the basement of my old house. Cleaned it up and bought a bunch of air freshener, marketed "smoke masking" sprays etc....Nothing worked......Someone recommended trying an ozone machine. I bought one and setup to run in the basement for half a day. The smoke smell was GONE. It's crazy how good these thing works if you have hard to get out smell.

It absolutely does not. I've used ozone generators extensively, and pretty hard core when we bought a 200 yo house that had heavy heavy smokers in it previously, where we cycled two of them overnight daily for weeks during renovations. Like ozone from a lightening storm, it dissipates very quickly. There was only a very slight detectable smell when we returned the following morning. We also had to ozone my father in laws car after he passed because it wreaked of his dogs. After a brief airing out, it was fine.

The panic and fear mongering people have about these devices is over the top. Like any tool, if you misuse it or fail to read the instructions, well then that's on you. Every single one I have purchased is smack full of warnings.

Remember, no PPP during operation: People Pets or Plants. Also "R": rubber. Rubber breaks down in the presence of concentrated ozone.

I'm very sensitive to the smell of the generators and I definitely smell them for months after they are used in certain cases. In my car, it's been over 3 months since I used it and I still smell it.

I had gotten a ozone machine, based off Technology Connection's (Amazing Youtube Channel) video covering Ozone machines. Couple months later our dogs got skunked and brought the smell inside all over the house. These devices are amazing, but also be careful as others have pointed out.

Offer is available again. It does not ship to CA, though. It appears to be valid for select areas. Code QZTTQGA9 makes it a bit lower now too. I see $19.99 after code

  1. these can be hazardous so make sure to remove plants, animals, and people from the area. ventilate afterwards depending on how long it is in use. And also wipe down every surface as there is a potential for the oxidized material on the surfaces to be harmful to come in contact with.
  2. I would actually recommend this model instead: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GFWRW9N It has the emitter coming out the side instead of directly into your face when you turn it on. No idea why every other manufacturer decided to blow dangerous chemicals into your face when you try to turn it off but this one has the sense to not do that and from personal experience it works extremely well.
