Community Reviews
The WiiM Amp is a compact all in one streaming amplifier that stands out for easy multiroom use and strong room calibration. The Roomfit auto equalization gets praised, and the unit is described as great enough to buy again. The main tradeoff is flexibility and power, since it is built more as an integrated amp than a streamer only box, and it can feel underpowered or flat with some speakers. Input switching through the app and the sluggish remote also draw complaints, so it suits simple setups best.
The unit can be a good fit for buyers who want an all-in-one streamer and amplifier and already own one.
Roomfit auto room equalization and calibration can improve in-room sound tuning for multiroom listening setups.
The built-in all-in-one design can simplify use when you want a single unit instead of pairing with an external high-end amplifier.
The amplifier can support multiroom control when paired with multiple WiiM Pros for independent room audio streams.
The deal savings can depend on regional shipping timing, and UPS delivery estimates may make the delayed-shipping discount less predictable.
The amplifier may deliver mediocre performance with KEF Q150 speakers, including weaker THD/SNR and poor behavior near maximum power.
Input switching can require a mobile app, and the remote may feel sluggish with no input display.
The amplifier may struggle to drive certain speaker pairings, producing flat sound with Martin Logan speakers.

I do wish this amp had line level outs or digital out, it would be nice to switch it to just streamer mode if you later wanted to upgrade to a better amp.

- Why do I have to use a mobile app to switch my inputs when listening to music?
- Yes, you can try it on the sluggish remote and guess which input you land on (no display)
- Sound quality: not enough power, no dynamic. My Martin Logan speakers sounded so flat with it.
- I was only comparing it to a simple cheap Emotiva Mini-X A-100 amp.
Similarly terrible experience with SMSL PL20 CD Player earlier. Everyone loves it with best reviews on Amazon and Youtube. It couldn't read 3 out of my 10 CDs tried. This is such a terrible flashback of 90s' CD Players.
