Your "trash Chevy" comment automatically disqualifies you. That definitely is not how to make a point, and at least be correct. An interior light left on can completely drain a battery which is why you won't be able to start. In your case, considering users with larger V8 engines can use this successfully tells me either you weren't using it correctly, OR your battery was too far gone for this to work well.

CCA is battery health. You can have a fully charged battery and still not be able to start your car or even crank if the battery health (CCA) is too low. In that case, you need a new battery, full stop.

Also, this unit also states its normal range is 300-500A. Not sure when exactly the 1500A comes in, but it can't be that fake when others out there claim A LOT higher, like 5000A in similar sized units. And yes, parasitic drain IS a typical or at least common type of drain many people use these for even if its purpose is for "emergencies." Your experience is just one, the exception, not the rule and the reviews reflect that as does my own personal experience with it.
Also, this unit was able to start the vehicle even while the battery was completely disconnected, if that helps debunk all CCA theory and numbers, including the homebrewed electric engineers here :-). Should have captured a video.

GD3TVIG5 still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

For everyone to understand how a battery jump starter works. 8000mAH and 1500A, these large numbers don't matter at all, what matters is the Watt/Hr rating, which is 37wH in this case.
Car engines typically need:
* 200–400A for small/medium engines
* 400–700A for large engines or diesel
The Peak power delivered can be estimated briefly:
P = V × I = 12V × 1500A = 18,000W (for millisecs!)
Engine start typically takes 1–3 seconds of cranking.
* Even at 400A for 3 seconds:
12V × 400A × (3s / 3600s) ≈ 4Wh
That's a small fraction of the 37Wh available.
If this jump starter really has 37wH in store when fully charged, it should be good to start the car.
If you only had the box, this would be correct. The jump box + your car battery is normally the case. You jump box only has to add what the car battery is unable to supply. Dead car batteries still have voltage and can pump out amps.

I have 3 of these and casual usage they're as good as my noco. Worth if solely to keep in each vehicle you own at that price

ULTRA POWERFUL BOOST - The smart boost mode automatically detects the battery's voltage. When the voltage is less than 9 V, the indicator flashes green; this unlocks the "BOOST" button, which can be pressed to start fully-drained batteries.

Boost. ! Very important feature on any jump box you buy

I'm new to these jumpers. If my car says it requires 12.6v to start, can I assume that this 12v won't be able to do it?

recommend storing at around 70% and occasionally checking charge level.

keeping at %100 will shorten life and keeping in a HOT car isn't good either.

I got something in each car... keep at around 3/4 charge. If we go on a road trip, I'll fully charge, especially during the winter.

Is this the same model as previous FP deals? Past ones say it's 10000mah, this one is 8000mah.
