It works 86.3% of the time.
It does tend to slip on certain types of wire, in all this time I have never figured out exactly why it does it on some and not on others.
But I love them regardless, it's been a fantastic tool over the years.
I'm an electronic hobbyist and absolutely do not strip more wires than a professional, but I probably strip significantly more wire than the average homeowner.
I've used this on all sorts of wire from solid house wiring, to small gauge stranded to stranded thick insulation 2 AWG wire.
I looked back on my Amazon order and I paid $18.50 for this in April of 2015.
This is absolutely worth $25 now.

Think I will wait for a deal on the Klein, never had problems with that brand.

It works 86.3% of the time.

The Klein 110601 might be better, but it has a wire cutter between the handles. I just can't wrap my head around the idea of putting sharp crimping/ cutting teeth on the part of the tool where your hands go. The marketing folks driving this crap need to be forced to use these things every day.
I have the Klein 11063, which works great for most stuff. The only thing between the grips is a spring which could bite I suppose, but never has. For finer wire, I have a Klein 11057 manual stripper. Auto strippers don't work as well for many of the smaller than 20 gauge wires I need to strip, but I also have a Felo auto stripper that does a good job with a wide range of wires.
And if somehow the crimper part IS a selling feature (facepalm), do yourself a favor and just buy the actual right tool for the crimp connections you intend to make. These will absolutely guarantee lousy results on anything.
