These are good little router/access points if you have wired backhaul. If not then performance will suffer.

Yep. I use a 3 pack as AP's with a wired backhaul behind a Dell 7050 micro converted into an OPNSense router. They work extremely well for that purpose, with 2.5Gb over CAT5e and a free 2.5Gb port for whatever else you want to wire to it.

Same here. I have 6 of these plus a XE75 Pro, all through Cat6 into a 2.5Gbps switch. Works great.

It's frustrating to me when friends get it but won't do the wired backhaul, then complain that it's not as good as mine.

Ironically, I also go through a separate firewall. Mine is a quad-port mini PC with 2.5gb ports, but I chose pfSense. But not because the Deco units weren't good as the main router.

Ha, my people! You understand all the way up and including the OPNSense router and the XE75 Pro. They have been absolutely rock stable as access points.

Probably. Deco units are generally all compatible with each other.

I have the older Deco x60.. and i can't seem to tell if these really help. For those that have it, can you tell that these extenders help? looking to buy? Thank you in advance.

Yep they're both deco mesh although with this listing you'd want to do wired backhaul to this access point as it's only dual band, not triband.

Yes. All Decos work with each other.

Yeah, I think the government has banned new TP-Link devices but the existing models can be sold. Makes no sense.
