I'm going to be needing some hand tools very soon and I'm considering going battery. Not sure if this is a great deal or not - I suspect these things will be getting a lot cheaper not too long from now as battery tech improves but I definitely want to stay within a single brand so it's hard to figure out which deals to jump on

Idk if I should jump on these or wait for the 2 pack of 3.5Ah xr powerstack to drop down to $130 again. I have a few 5Ah. And a single 1.7Ah.

Depending on what you use it for, daily or for building things around the house as a hobby, it's a great deal for fixing things around the house.

Yes, they should work with any modern 20v dewalt tool. there's no need to lock yourself into one tool brand. Especially if you're gonna own more than two or three cordless tools. Often times if you buy during the best deals the batteries are essentially free.

These batteries are comparable to a 3ah, just much less weight.

Love these batteries. Heads up though...that they don't necessarily work in all Dewalt tools. I know for a fact my power stacks don't work in my Dewalt vacuum. I have to use their basic batteries in it.

$125 for a single 5.0Ah powerstack battery on amazon. Basically getting the 1.7Ah for free. Seems like a good deal.

these batteries are cool but keep in mind theyre much smaller than the regular batteries. setting down and balancing something like a drill can be harder because now theres less weight with a smaller footprint to stabilize it.
