This seems like a great deal! Best I found this circular saw (tool only) was for $66 on DTO after 40% off over the last 2 months or so. This ends up only $15 more than that but - you also get 4.0 Ah HP battery, charger, and a better return policy with free delivery!

Great, returning the 7.5" HP Saw that came with edge battery for $130 to get this one

Grabbed one, I have Ryobi 40v yard tools. Been wanting to jump in the 18v stuff but Ryobi never seems to put the big HP drill or circular saws bigger than 5" on good sales. Now I need a drill and I'm off and running.

I decided to go with ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless 5-Tool Combo Kit with 4.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah HIGH PERFORMANCE Batteries, Charger, and Bag has the seven and a half inch saw instead of this six and a half inch saw. Also comes with the impact and drill of flashlight and the cutoff tool for $100 more plus an extra battery too.

I am newcomer to handheld battery tools and I'm looking to buy into a brand eco system. Is ryobi the one? It's going to be down to "who wants to sell it to me the most." This deal looks nice

Thanks OP. This is a good price. The 5 1/4 non-brushless is too easy to bog down, whereas this one is just right for an occassional use. I dont want to get the 7 1/4 because it starts getting too heavy for easy use.

I need a saw for a quick project - probably 4 cuts. Should I get this or a dewalt saw ($120 for tool only) so everything is the same (I have 3 dewalt tools) so I can use one of those batteries

Some of the reviews stated that this thing can get bogged down with plywood and 2x4's - does anyone own one that can speak to it? Small number of negative reviews, so I can't tell whether it's just user error, bad batteries, or the thing just not having enough juice to get the job done.
