Slightly off topic, but I have a Sodastream since by my calculations it a bit cheaper to make my own soda at home than buying cans or bottles. Sodastream does sell Mountain Dew Code Red Zero syrup. I've had it before and it tastes really good in my opinion in comparison to the canned or bottled version. Initial cost investment is a bit steep to get everything you need, but it's nice to have a rotation of flavors available at any given time.

If you didn't want to buy all the equipment I think you could at minimum just buy some plain seltzer bottled water and then just add the syrup to it to test it out. Might require a bit of math to get the syrup to water ratio just right.

There's a Pepsi bottling plant about two hours away from where I live that sells Code Red Zero for $5/12 pack, and I am constantly tempted to make a run to get some. If I ever have a reason to go anywhere near there for anything else I'm definitely going.

Code red zero....I only found it at one store ever, and when I moved never saw it again. I thought they stopped making it. I would love to see it become available.

It's been around for quite a while but doesn't seem to be very widely distributed anymore. I think it was actually the first alternative Mt Dew flavor, other than maybe Baja Blast, or at least the first available at retail.
