My wife is going to kill me for this. Good luck all!
I feel you. I ordered the Ridgid drill press (now OOS) at 50% a few days ago and had it shipped to store instead of home. I'll have a better chance getting it into the garage unnoticed.
I have been looking for a jointer for years on Marketplace and could never find anything well priced especially when you add in transportation. This price is as good as any I have seen for a 6 in jointer used when adding in renting a truck at the very least. (edit typos)
Good deal! Everyone says to get an 8" jointer... but I don't want to deal with getting 220v into my garage, so this'll have to do.
In my area, used (often >10yrs old) is around $350 + you need to transport. Getting it new and shipped to my house for a bit over $550 is a fairly easy choice to make.

Better in nearly every way. Unless you want the massive stand so its weighs 4x more.
Benchtop is NOT better for boards over 2.5'. Also, that literally costs more and has an aluminum table (at least get the Cutech if you're getting a benchtop). If you want >6", you can do the planer trick.
