This Greenworks 60V 17 inch push mower is a compact cordless option that works well for small yards and tight spots, especially as a trim mower around pools or alongside a riding mower. The included 4.0 amp hour battery and charger make the deal more attractive, and the mower carries a 4 year tool and battery warranty. The 17 inch deck is narrower than many electric mowers, so it can take more passes. The 60V line also shares batteries within the ecosystem, though 80V tools and batteries are not interchangeable.

Common Questions (5)

  • 60V tools work well and the ecosystem is compatible across 60V products, but 80V is more widely available at major retailers and tends to go on sale more often. If you want easier future buying options and a bit more power, 80V is the better long-term pick.

  • The 17-inch deck is about 4 inches narrower than many electric mowers, so it can take more passes to finish a lawn. It is better suited to tight areas, trimming around pools, and cleanup where a riding mower cannot reach.

  • Yes. All Greenworks 60V tools can use each other's batteries, including mixed 2.5Ah, 4Ah, and 5Ah packs. A 60V battery cannot be used in 80V tools, and 80V batteries cannot be used in 60V tools.

  • The included battery is enough for normal use, but smaller-capacity batteries from other 60V tools will not run the mower as long. The mower can also struggle when grass is tall or damp, so runtime and cutting performance are better on dry, maintained lawns.

  • Yes, it comes with a 4-year warranty on both the tool and the battery.

Agree on the 21 being small. I've been using a 21" Snapper 60v since 2018 and it's a good size. Whatever you go with, I suggest you pick the same ecosystem for all your other yard tools (trimmer, blower, edger, chainsaw, etc). That allows you to interchange the batteries, although the lower amp ones that come with other tools won't run your mower as long. Store your batteries indoors to extend their longevity.
If I were buying now, I would look at the 80v for a bit more power. My 60v works well in most situations, but struggles if the grass gets too high or is a little wet from morning dew.

17" is pretty narrow, would take forever to do a standard 1/4 acre yard.

17" cutting width means about a 4" narrower swath than what is becoming standard on electric mowers. That might not seem like all that much, but it can add up to quite a few more passes to finish mowing your lawn.
I have a 42" riding mower but one of these for trimming areas around pool and other tight locations. So, it's width is an advantage to me.. Beats weed eating.

All of the 60V tools can use each other's batteries. I've got six 60V batteries (a mix of 2.5AH, 4AH and 5AH), and I'll just grab whatever's closest when I need one. No experience with the 80V tools, but I assume it's the same deal. Can't use 60V batteries in 80V tools, nor vice-versa.
Thanks

Good price - I have had the 60v for several years now and went down the rabbit hole with all other 60v lawn tools. FWIW if I were to do It again, I would've started with the 80v due to the availability and sale frequency of other lawn tools.
