Classic amp! Not ideal for the bedroom player. Not sure how it responds to an attenuator but my roommate in high school had one and this thing is best at high volumes, and gets LOUD as all get out. Sounds amazing though! Super glassy with the best reverb I've ever heard. Takes pedals well.

My guitarist has one of these and it sounds amazing! It is indeed loud, practicing with full band in his garage it's not even turned up much but we have a quiet drummer.

When I was a teen, picked up one of these used for $200. My first "Real" tune amp I could play live with. However, being young and dumb, did use this in my bedroom as a practice amp a good amount of the time. Luckily my room was upstairs at the end of the hall. One evening after sneaking a few beers and my buddy was over jamming, I cranked it way up , parents being away for the weekend. We were playing for a spell. Went downstairs and holy heck! My Mom had all these China Tea Cups and Plates which had somehow either exploded or fallen over braking most of em into pieces. So ya, agree not the best bedroom amp, and you're right they sure can get loud !!

Buy a used one locally if you can. I'm in the Los Angeles area and these things are about $800 all day long. In the age of amp modelers, nobody wants to transport a 64 lbs CLEAN amp. All the old guys with bad backs are ready to sell!

Agreed, I bought my 1966 blackface twin for about half this price not too long ago

LOL. In my, most unpopular opinion then this thing should be $300 MAX! Though it is the classic formula for certain styles (Joe B.) and that is great. But too heavy, less flexible speaker tones (some change out), open back choice, and too loud for your non stadiums. "Reissue" circuitry prone to getting loose in the connectors and causing damage (keep em; tight.) Basically you are paying up to $1900 or more for the "real thing"; that isn't. Some good, some bad. The Fender heritage is awesome, the hype, not so much.

If you're after the best quality and value you might have to build it yourself, hand wired neat, with select components. As the components are the real value of hand wired. However, PCB can be fine; but sometime is not. Quality is quality PC board circuit or not.

Hate this if you want; but I'm tired of seeing mediocre mass market devices overpriced. Especially with limited longevity. And we need easy repair and maintenance. We need more HONEST HARD WORKING, low cost by mass QUALITY production. And we will not ever get away from world wide competition, to do it.

And frankly; all buyers must be responsible to do our homework. BEFORE clicking the buy.

Note: I suggest having both tube and non-tube gear, for guitar. Sometimes mixed, sometimes not and giving some redundancy (2 not 20). To avoid GAS. But whatever you need and there so many ways to combine. None "wrong". It's what you like. Here; I'm speaking to low cost, max cover. This is slick DEALS. And I am not a fan of practice only amps or stage only too; when both is possible. And without high prices.

Think Pickups + (Amp, pre & power, effects, modeling, IR's, USB etc..) + Live place Cab & speaker. Even with a combo (for max value).

Again do not just think classic gear set, or modern gear set. You can have the best of both. No matter the stage looks. Avoid stereo types (no pun) and huge brand tax.
