My big question would be are these good? I don't know tires and I've never heard this brand name. I saw it has the winter rated thing on it which sounds nice.

I was asking chatgpt because I consider my "pirelli scorpion AT plus" the benchmark for balance between highway, comfort, road noise, and trail use. These hankooks are apparently quieter, not as capable off road but can still handle fire roads, dispersed camping sites, easy to moderate trails. Honestly, highway tires can handle dry condition maintained fire roads, key word "maintained". Once you hit unmaintained you start getting roads with lots of washout erosion, and sharp rocks. This is a great price for AT tires, newer tires like at4w, KO3, and XTM go for $300 plus.

These are very good tires. I had them years ago and they lasted some good 4 years and the wear was decent. They are really great in winters. They run a bit noisy and that is the only negative.
These are a little pricier and i think there are many good competitors in the same price range.

I got the deal a couple weeks ago but it was on the 33x1250r15 for my tj jeep at $188(they're out of stock now but I believe Walmart has the same price). I just got a confirmation that I'm going to get get the $100 mail and rebate from the website. I had the first generation of these tires in a slightly smaller size and I never had any complaints.

Lots of sizes are on sale on both Amazon and Walmart. Just got a set of 30x9.5R15s for $150/ea. Usually over $200 for similar tires in that size.

Got my tires today. I think I see the reason for the discount--the mfg date is 2022. I'm not used to seeing tires more than 12-24 months old being sold as new without a disclaimer.

For a general use AT it's a solid tire. I've got these on my truck and they've seen a bit of mild mud and snow. It went fine. imo these tires probably wouldn't be the first pick if that type of stuff is your bread and butter, but that goes for most "do all" type tires.

If the tires were on a car:
from Google: The Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme carries an official Uniform Tire Quality Grading (UTQG) rating of 660 A B for standard passenger (P-metric) sizes. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
A quick breakdown of what these ratings mean for the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme:
  • Treadwear: 660
This is an exceptionally high number for an all-terrain tire. It indicates that the tread is designed to last 6.6 times longer than a baseline tire rated at 100. This aligns with Hankook's manufacturer warranty, which covers the tire for 70,000 miles on P-metric sizes and 60,000 miles on LT-metric sizes.
Note: Uniform Tire Quality Grading (UTQG) standards only apply to passenger (P-Metric) tires. If you are looking at Light Truck (LT-Metric) sizes for heavy-duty towing or payload, they typically do not carry an official UTQG rating. [1]
