I struggled to get into this one. I adored the first game and this just felt like more of the same. I've debated giving it another shot.

Visuals were really great. Story was good but not as good as the first. The enemies are more fun to fight, the added complexity to melee fighting was needed. Overall I liked the weapons and weapon loadout from the first better.
I will say I feel the price has been lower, I would think the complete edition shouldn't be much more than this for a 4 year old game.

Never has there been a prettier game I enjoyed playing less than this one. Other than the visuals, this is an across-the-board downgrade from the first one. Too much bloat, annoying characters, thin plot, it's just boring.

Not sure where you got the idea that this is Sony's best selling IP, but that isn't even close to being correct. Horizon is their 8th best selling video game IP.

Their top 7 best selling IPs in order are Gran Turismo, God of War, Uncharted, Spiderman, Destiny, The Last of Us, and Ratchet and Clank.

Interestingly, in terms of gross revenue, their top franchise is actually the adult visual novel game series Fate/Stay Night, which never had an official release outside of Japan until the 2024 rerelease on Steam and Switch.

Tbh, I'm surprised that the free PS5 upgrade still works for digital. Nice way to save $10
I did have to order through the web browser. The Store on the PS5 only lists the $30 option.
