This Legion Tower 7i Gen 10 is a high end prebuilt that stands out for its RTX 5090, 64GB of DDR5, and 2TB SSD, especially for AI, local inference, and heavy gaming. The fixed configuration is seen as stronger value than comparable HP Omen 45L builds because it bundles more memory and storage for similar money. It also gets praise for solid assembly, quiet operation, cool running, and minimal bloatware. The main cautions are the steep price, occasional checkout totals higher than advertised, and the fact that the 5090 is overkill if you do not need this level of performance.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, several comments use it for local AI, LLM inference, and even fine-tuning because the 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD make it a strong base. One setup report says the onboard video lets the RTX 5090 be dedicated entirely to GPU tasks, and another plans to expand to 128GB for more VMs and local inference.
The discussed configuration includes 64GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB M.2 SSD. Compared with the HP Omen 45L deal, that means more memory and double the storage for roughly $600 more than a prior $3600 HP purchase.
It is described as very well built and quiet under light load, with minimal bloatware. One setup report also says it runs cool and has good assembly, though the included keyboard and mouse feel cheap.
The advertised top-end configuration is not always the same as the checkout build: one comment says the deal shown at checkout includes a 5080, a Core 7 processor, an 850W PSU, and 2x1TB SSDs rather than a 5090. Another comment notes the 5090 is the key upgrade worth the price difference, so verify the exact SKU before buying.
Yes, Lenovo's Price Guarantee was reportedly honored after a buyer saw the same system listed about $500 cheaper later. A chat with support took about 15 minutes and resulted in a refund of roughly $500.

The delivery box is so much smaller, HP had an extra shell on top of the actual computer box. Legion is just shipped in the box of the computer.
It feels lighter already, I think it is missing the top radiator heat vent that HP has on the OMEN 45L but I didn't open so can't be 100% certain.
Too lazy to set it up tonight, will park it and do a better comparision this weekend.
How does it compare to your other rigs?
