This Legion Tower 7i Gen 10 is a high end prebuilt that stands out for its RTX 5090, 64GB of DDR5, and 2TB SSD, especially for AI, local inference, and heavy gaming. The fixed configuration is seen as stronger value than comparable HP Omen 45L builds because it bundles more memory and storage for similar money. It also gets praise for solid assembly, quiet operation, cool running, and minimal bloatware. The main cautions are the steep price, occasional checkout totals higher than advertised, and the fact that the 5090 is overkill if you do not need this level of performance.
The fixed-sku Lenovo configuration provides 64GB DDR5 and 2TB storage without needing an upgrade path.
The PC can run cool and quiet under no load, with assembly that supports Linux after shrinking the Windows partition.
The system can support local AI workflows by dedicating the RTX 5090 to GPU tasks using onboard motherboard video.
Lenovo price guarantee reportedly enabled a refund of about $500 after a lower price appeared shortly after purchase.
The RTX 5090 upgrade may not be enough to drive a Samsung Neo G9 57" at the desired performance targets.
Checkout can show a higher total than the advertised price even when a coupon code is applied.
The deal may not include the RTX 5090 as advertised, with reports pointing to a 5080 and other lower-tier components instead.
Gaming performance can lag AMD by roughly 25-30% fps for the Intel Ultra 9 285K workload comparison.

Advantage of 45L: 64GB 6000MT/s with RGB, Wifi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4, PSU - much better, 9900X has more L3 cache(gaming).
Advantage of this one: 2TB storage, has better L2cache (almost everything else).
Tough one for me, but if you didn't do upgrades on 45L, this might be better.
Yah that's what I am thinking
but I see a lot of 5090 on ebay not selling that high so I am not sure how much I can get rid of my base HP 5090 lol. I think it was $3750 after taxes. too. haha.
What upgrades did you do to the HP Omen 45L? Another avenue I could take is get this build, and upgrade my wife's i7-14700F, 32GB build then sell off the remaining parts with her 4070. Decisions, decisions.
Reminds me of the crazy bitcoin mining days until ASIC came along. This too will someday pass... patience.
And I dont want that to happen. I wish I could go hide in US Treasury but the US national debt is a crazier number than AI's.
It's like I have no where to hide.
My current plan is to ride the wave until the end and get out before the shit hits the fan.
Back to this PC deal, if one can use RTX 5090 32GB to create some videos/photo/music and become a content producer and then profit from this before it comes to an end, this is a good deal. There are a lot of previously copyrighted stuffs just entered the public domain. These are free for all now.

Fortunately, Lenovo offers Price Guarantee - I spent about 15m chatting with a rep, and they readily honored the agreement, refunding me ~$500.
For anyone interested this thing is a beast. It's built very well, minimal bloatware pre-installed. If you can stomach the price tag you won't be disappointed. Legion is legit 🤘
32GB, (should have upgraded since extra 32GB was like $325 after the discount was applied.
1TB - which is too small.
but it was just the gateway drug into a 5090.
I use it so much because it's faster that I am not using the Laptop 5090 as much, I will find a way to utilize them all full time.
I have been looking around the prices, not easy to sell to get my money's worth right now. but this $4100 machine would be the top spec for me but I was thinking about just getting to 128GB so I was checking what the discounted upgrade prices would have been. lol.
I did daytrade $4500 worth of chip stocks yesterday and today...
I believe so! I think this would be the best way for me to get a 5090 so I can upgrade from my 5080 FE. The 5080 is a great card, but it's not enough for my Neo G9 57". Additionally, I think it's good to jump on this deal or a similar deal before 5090 cards receive another price increase. I should've bought a second 5090 last year, but oh well. I can only move forward from here.
