Ecobee Smart Thermostat Essential in like new condition is landing at a very low effective price, especially when the extra 40 percent discount applies, with totals around $30 to $33 and even lower on multiple units. It is framed as a solid basic smart thermostat upgrade that works on its own, while optional sensors only help it read room temperature better and do not act as separate thermostats. The main caveat is that homes with HVAC accessories or dual transformer wiring may need the Enhanced or Premium models instead. A strong value if you just need the core thermostat.
The deal can stack with an extra 40% coupon for a much lower out-the-door price.
The like-new condition has been described as a strong value at roughly $30 to $33.
The thermostat can work on its own without buying additional sensors for multi-room control.
Some HVAC setups may benefit from choosing Enhanced or Premium versions for occupancy sensing or air-quality monitoring.
The Enhanced occupancy sensor feature may feel unnecessary because it is described as mostly useless.
Premium adds air-quality monitoring and a built-in Siri/Alexa speaker, which can cost more than basic or Enhanced options.
HVAC accessory needs or dual transformer wiring may require Enhanced or Premium rather than the basic version.
Power-company promotions can vary, so free or subsidized offers are not guaranteed across locations.

+1 from this is 'enhanced' which adds occupancy sensor; personally I think this is useless, they even quote a +3% increase in savings (23% vs 26%) (about $120 used)
+2 from this is 'premium' which adds air quality monitor and smart speaker with built in Siri/Alexa; I think this is worth it. No deals like this on it used tho (about $200 used)
If you have accessories on your HVAC (ventilator, humidifier, dehumidifier) or need duel transformer (separate Rc/Rh) you'll want a enhanced or premium version
