I don't think I paid more than that for a new one. If you want a cheap refurbed one keep an eye on Woot. The sell them from time to time.

Not sure if they source them from them same place woot does but my woot refurbished one I got for $113 was brand new as far as I could tell

Don't buy a refurb unit. I bought one of the Woot ones and had the blade fall off multiple times and strip the main bit. Ninja wouldn't do anything for me. I do like the unit enough that I bought another through the Costco sale. Still, it pissed me off.
