I played through this remake, as my first Dead Space entries. It's a well done remake and made me want to dig into the lore.

Sadly it did not make enough revenue and Dead Space 4 pitch was denied by EA.

But Motive did a fantastic job with the remake.

I played all 3 and the Wii side story game. I haven't play the remake yet. Too bad this remake didn't sell that well to remake the rest of the series. They were going to do it.

Playing remake on PS5 right now. I'm really hoping they would remake the rest. One of the better games I have played in a while.

Steam had the Deluxe Edition on sale during their Spring Sale back in March for $11 which was when I actually bought it.

I'm on the final chapter of this game. Such a good horror shooter game. I played the original (non remake edition) years ago too. They updated the weapons in this remake. The ripper is still the most ammo efficient weapon in the game imo. Don't even bother doing its secondary shot. Just hold down the primary mouse button and remove limbs 😉

A little tip, if you put weapons you don't want to use cause they suck (like the line gun and pulse rifle) in your storage rather than your inventory, you'll rarely ever get ammo for those weapons and instead get ammo to the guns you like in your inventory. Such a big thing to take advantage of. I will say though, if you want to make this game terrifying, play it with the line gun and pulse rifle and you'll be in fights constantly running out of ammo. You'll be running around in pure terror just trying to survive every battle. Lol. I watched a YouTube clip of a guy who beat the game like not even knowing you're supposed to remove limbs and he was using the line gun and rifle. I felt so bad for him. He probably lost 10 years off his life. 😵 💫
