I had one similar to this and the solar for the camera never really worked well, especially in the winter. The feeder didn't hold much seed - gone in an hour or so. Also, I think all of the birds in the neighborhood chose it as their personal toilet as it was a real mess to clean every day. :-(

I bought a similar one and it's decent for the price, the solar panel keeps it fully charged (haven't tested it in winter) and the camera is surprisingly good. Just keep in mind that the AI bird identifier is a trial and requires subscription after (you still get notifications after trial ends).

They jump pretty damn far. I would have to put a pole mid-yard for this setup unfortunately. I had one of those window feeders up on a second story window and thought I was good to go. Damn squirrel Mission Impossible'd that shit. Jumped from a distant screened porch to the windowsill, then shimmied up the framing between the two windows until it was close enough to leap over to the feeder. They're crazy resourceful. I'm actually shocked the 'squirrel buster' defeats them with just the weight springs.

So I'm sure that's why she had that issue lol. Most of the 1 star reviews seemed from some rather daft human beings.
