Almost pulled the trigger until I saw this comment. Thanks for the info.
Not my experience at all. I've had the SNES controller for several years and it's been flawless with OpenEmu on my Mac Mini. Extremely satisfied, zero regrets.

Better option would be the retro style controllers from 8Bitdo
I had the 8Bitdo SNES controller before buying these. The 8bitdo work well but feel a little "off". The official SNES controller feels exactly like the original.

Maybe. They work like crap when connected to most bluetooth devices, which is by design. Nintendo doesn't want them used on other devices. When connected to my Nvidia Shield, my SNES controller would only register a few buttons. On my Linux PC it registered all buttons, but Android recognized it as a Joycon. There's more functional bluetooth controllers out there. Skip this. Also requires Nintendo online or you can't even order it.
Absolutely insane you can't purchase the controller without the online membership. Nintendo's a joke these days.

Man as a someone who has played video games for decades these companies have really became trash I don't get how they have fans, So now I almost try to buy second hand as much as I can now unless the item is price gouged. I rather just play on my SNES classic then support this practice of hiding products behind a paywall.

Im not gonna argue with a leftist, but literally NOTHING got raised because of tariffs!! FAKE NEWS! literally everything is the same! A xbox controller is still 50$ they raised consoles cus of chip shortage, Sonos stayed the sameA so did tv's! Again, stop pandering fake news! Tariffs benefited US and price got cheaper, dont ask me! Do your research
You're not gonna argue but you do. Chip shortage? You got confused, that was during COVID (which according to your kind, was just the flu, right?). Who's spreading fake news now?
This is a thread about gaming and you got all worked up because someone mentioned tariffs. Butthurt much when someone brings up inconvenient facts, much like the tiny-handed leader you blindly follow? I've done my research, that's how I know when all these peripherals got price increases. It was a year ago when the orange man announced a new round of tariffs.

Just got retroarch going last night and me and the wife are addicted! You know of any decent nes or snes controllers for it? Playing on Xbox
8bitdo seems to make good controllers, but as for anything without a control stick....eh, think the options are limited.

These have been out of stock forever! Ordered the max of four just now. Nintendo makes incredible controllers. The feel of an OEM SNES controller takes me back and that's what NSO retro gaming is all about.

The Hyperkin Pixel art controllers are great too. The new ones even have hall effect sticks. 8 bit do is just a bit better quality but these are no slouch.

Exactly. Why is this posted as a deal? Actually, these used to be cheaper and they raised prices last year because of tariffs, and it's not even back to original prices.
This is likely posted since these are OOS often. I know for a fact the NES controller was sold out last week when I checked.

That is an ugly controller and clearly draws inspiration from the 8bitdo SN30 lol. I'll stick with the SN30.
