Looks good to me. The bare tool sells for $130 on eBay and the ratchet I can sell for $100 on fb. Seems like a good buy if not a must buy

If you don't have the M12 Surge, get it. My most used 1/4" impact and I have the latest Gen M18, latest Gen M18 Surge, and M12 Fuel impact too. The M12 Surge has the best trigger control out of all of them, prevents bit slip and works for about 90% of what I use it for. There is always going to be rumors of a new Gen M12 Surge, and I will buy that, but this version is excellent.

Man, deals this year has gone downhill. I bought the surge and a right angle drill kit with 2 batteries for 109 over a year ago. Hacked the ratchet for 59 dollars. I suppose, it's not going to get better, so if you think you need it, get it. But be warned, the surge is very weak, and a lot heavier than the m12 impact, but finessing with the trigger is a lot better.

I have this surge impact and am impressed. It's very quiet. It is not as fast or powerful as many other impacts but is far smaller and quieter. If you're building a deck, sheathing a house, or otherwise driving many screws quickly, you're likely to overheat it and have to let it cool now-and-then. I overheated it a couple times sheathing my house driving a bunch of 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" deck screws. (Yes, I know I could be using nails, etc. My house was built in the 1850s and it's safer for me to drive long screws than nails.)
It's great for being small, lightweight, feels great in my hand (I have fairly large hands), and again, quiet. I'm very glad I bought it. The 2.0 batteries are sufficient for being small. I have a few of those and a few 5.0s. The difference is exactly what you'd expect: size and runtime are a very noticeable difference.
