Not a bad deal. I've been on both sides of how effective the product is for your dog so YMMV

Mine's 13 lb and I was wondering the same so I typed that into Google AI and here's what it came up with, and don't know if it's corporate BS or true.

For the safety and health of a pet, it is important to use the specific collar size recommended for the dog's weight. Seresto collars are formulated with different amounts of active ingredients based on weight categories: one for dogs under 18 pounds and another for dogs over 18 pounds.Using a large collar on a small dog, even if trimmed to fit the neck, may expose the smaller animal to a higher total dose of active ingredients than intended. This could increase the risk of adverse reactions or toxicity.

If you care about your dog you should do a google search on these before buying. After some research I stopped buying these. Can cause neurological problems for your dog. Seizures, etc

YMMV but I used this for my dog (a golden doodle) and it's been very effective for flea prevention. Before that, I frequently saw fleas and ticks on his belly, especially after he went out to the park

I know it is effective. It leaches the chemicals into your dogs blood stream so when a flea or tick bites into your dog the fleas and ticks die from the poison in its blood. Needless to say some dogs experience bad side effects from the chemicals. My moms healthy dog started seizures. The only thing that was newly introduced to the dog was this collar shortly before seizures started. Threw the collar away and no more seizures. The company says the percentage is low of owners that have reported the neurological problems in comparison to how many are sold. So i guess trust the company? I know we didn't report the experience we had with our dog. Who do you report it to? How many other dogs that have problems go unreported? Ppl should know how the product works and know there is a chance their dog can have bad effects of those chemicals. The way I look at it ppl are putting bug killer chemicals into their dogs at low levels. At higher volumes the same chemicals would more than likely kill the dog or a human but The company argues its safe bc the low level doesn't kill your dog and is able to kill bugs. If it was up to the same company they would sell a similar product for humans if it was legal, but it is not bc having ppl ingest small doses of poison would be illegal.

These are large collars, i would not recommend them for small dogs. Of course I bought my annual collar months ago, that's why they're on sale now.

Good deal if you're late.

What do you recommend then? What gets rid of fleas and ticks without them biting and doesn't have a "chemical go into the bloodstream"?

I reckon the Pet armor collars for forty bucks has put a strain on Bayer's sales.

I'm always after a good deal...but I will never purchase another Seresto collar from amazon after receiving a counterfit, and seeing firsthand what it can do. I gladly spend another $10-$15 and get it from Costco or Chewy for peace of mind knowing my dogs are safe from at least one more thing.

For what it's worth:
I "researched" the seizure issue on Gemini pro.
1. It's real, and about 3 out of 1000 dogs experience problems from these collars.
2. A lot of the problems are likely from counterfeit collars sold by Amazon. Inventory at Amazon is "comingled." This means anyone can send in inventory, it's all mixed together, and the buyer could receive inventory from any of the sources which can be counterfeits.
3. I've been using this collar for my dog for a few years. She's never had any issues, but I will not buy it from Amazon anymore. I will buy it from Chewy. Chewy's inventory comes directly from the manufacture.
4. The chemicals should not make it into the dog's blood stream. They are fat soluble, not water soluble, so they should be repelled by blood but stay in the dogs skin oils.
